The Grand Inquisitor - An Allegorical Elegy

Updated: 19 hours ago

An allegory by Wallace Karamazov

BEFORE YOU READ - This is my first attempt at a novel. Below are just notes..not much structure. This is strictly world building with not much coherence. Ultimately, what I want to do is to try and express what I see playing out all around me...

Story Overview

The Grand Inquisitor is an allegory about the mysterious world of Westica during The Great Culture War era (our current times in America), which takes place long after The Great Deprivation (the Great Depression). The inhabitants of Westica sometimes receive communications from the 'other realm,' a superhabitable planet capable of sending one-way transmissions to Westica's inhabitants. Westica is home to a massive citadel originally named The Temple of Emmanuel, founded by The Virgins, a small colonial tribe prizing the virtue of Purity above all else and motivated by the prophecy of Manifest Destiny for Westica.

Many years have passed, and the Citadel was demolished and reassembled during the post-Post Modern Deconstruction Era. The Citadel was renamed 'The Living Body' to bring hope, shelter, and immunity against the contagious poison mist spreading across the land and corrupting everything--the Mind Virus (<—not what you think it is). A madman living in the Citadel claims to have found evidence of The Grand Inquisitor (<—think Inquisitive rather than a religious inquisitor, read on to learn more), an entity that operates within a quantum field called Mystery. His claims about discovering a new particle--the inquisitron--are deemed outlandish and dismissed by the ruling elite. The madman insists that his discovery is far more important than that of the Higgs Boson field. His 'proof' is written on the rag-like shirt he wears 24x7, 365 days a year: 0=∞ (<— Paradox)

The inhabitants name this madman "O'Looney" and quarantine him deep inside the bowels of the Citadel, locked away. A mystical experience from The Grand Inquisitor gives O'Looney the delusion of something he calls 'The Unfolding', a foreign concept to the ruling elite.

Join O'Looney on his quest to escape and discover the antidote to the mind virus as he navigates the complex world of Westica, where each inhabitant's vision is permanently altered according to their Tribal Identity. Can he find the True Selves that roam the land, operate only via Free Will, and see the world clearly? More importantly, can he become his own True Self? What role does the Grand Inquisitor play for the people of Westica? A puppet master in violation of Free Will or a benevolent co-author singing the tuneless elegy of Truth as they know it?

Dive into an allegorical exploration of Myth, Symbols, Art, Philosophy, Science, and Religion and discover how they uphold and sustain the binary world of Westica! Can the emergence of 'truth as relational' unbind them somehow? An elegy sung by Mystery is reverberating around the inhabitants of Westica...attunement is on the horizon...or so O'Looney thinks!

What is the main point of the story? What is it really about?

I haven't fully landed on this yet. I will NOT be going with the whole 'relational truth' angle I had before. My mind will distract me with trying to 'prove the existence' of it. And that is a fool's errand. I will however keep the text below as a corpus of thoughts I have had but I am not sold I will spend any energy on evolving our concept of 'Truth'. I am definitely heavily influence by Buber's "I and Thou" and wish it was required reading in the age of Social Media...

The Mind Virus is not wokeism...it is IT-ness spreading at an unprecedented rate across the world via social media, politics, globalization etc. The antidote is in cultivating Thou-ness. O'Looney believes the Grand Inquisitor is working behind the scenes smuggling his co-operative agents--'those who manifest the Eternal Thou' via the cloaked 'Body of Christ'--The Salted Ones and Image Bearers--some of which include 'atheists'. This smuggling is done bi-directional--from The Saeculum into The Citadel, (which again advertises itself as The Living Body to suggest it offers seductive shelter through immunization from the Mind Virus via the eradication of Shame), and then from The Citadel into The Saeculum via a process called Deconstruction.

I seek to illuminate Restorative Justice as the means of recovering our lost humanity.

Who is the target audience?

Myself mainly

How much time do you plan to set aside for this?

I plan to spend 3 to 5 years researching and learning how to write a book. A modicum of psychology, neuroscience, quantum mechanics, and religion/art (specifically with the evangelical/post-evangelical movement). I ultimately want to quit corporate America and dedicate myself to this project. Music, Math, Philosophy, and Psychology are my core underpinnings, with Christianity / Perenial Wisdom Tradition a close second...

Is Jesus in the world of Westica?

Yes...but i don't want to give it away...that said, virtually nobody will read these notes...so I will share with you.

The ultimate Illegal Alien, the strangest of strangers, the most other of others, the most foreign of foreigners. Jesus will be in the form of E.T.--an 'alien'. Read this link from a 1982 edition of the NY Times; I found this after I came up with the idea and did a Google search on "E.T. parallels to Jesus"

E.T. is the Eternal Thou but incarnated...

E.T. will start out by saying nothing but "E.T. phone home..." - Phone means communication..a direct line to the Eternal Thou. Home = dwelling place...

This Alien will disrupt years of legal theory, religious doctrine, etc. What do the people of westica do with this 'thing'? Is it considered human? does it have rights? Should it be captured and 'studied' by science? Studied how? With a scalpel? Will Elon Musk get his hands on ET and install a Neuralink device? Stay tuned!

Citizens will see differently with respect to what E.T. looks like (monsterness vs humanness). ET will arrive in the Saeculum (having emerged from The Abyss--more on that below), and The Salted Ones and The Image Bearers will have a unique affinity with E.T. The crowds will reticently be drawn to "IT," otherness, and monsterness. It will have a gravitational type pull in the form of longings for those that approach E.T. and are willing to get closer to it--the longings take root deeply and act as a 'tug'. There is an opportunity to follow him from The Saeculum into the Citadel to confront The Shameless One (more on who that is below)—The King of the Pews.

E.T. will eventually get 'studied' and have a spider-like device installed on its head with needles probing into it (think thorns, the crown of thorns)—a new variant of Neuralink that enables the ability to read its thoughts and thereby 'hear' what E.T. is "thinking" and make some form of communication with E.T. possible. Scientists want to get their hands (again) on E.T. to conduct more experiments. E.T. has some mysterious life form cultivating within...something unborn wanting to be released

E.T. will eventually make its way into The Citadel...but how that happens and what happens will be my secret...the only clue I will give is that somehow Maynard James Keenan will be involved (M.J.K.), known as the Fool (the band Tool) and Luscifer (the band Puscifer), who always stands inside a perfect triangle (the band A Perfect Circle). Music will function heavily in the story. After all, humans are connected through music, among other things. Music will serve as one way of 'transmitting' Thou-ness and eroding It-ness.

FYI - The Shameless One is not Lucifer...but one of the primary sources of IT-ness emanating from the Citadel. He will also confront the primary source of IT-ness from the Saeculum. E.T. plays a major role in the repairing of IT-ness from Westica.

What about Sin and Hell?

'Sin' is the formation of inert matter inside people. It is viewed as a dense, durable, stone and accumulates inside people that stay tethered to their Caste. This is why the Dehumanizors (more on that below) only 'see' people as stone statues that still have eyes that remain 'alive' and signify humanity (move, blink, emit tears). Dehumanizors want to destroy all stone statues to eradicate 'Sin' from Westica. Sin grows inside a person and steals their humanity by 'occupying it'...not removing it altogether. Humans who accumulate 'Sin' or stone inside themselves can have salt erode it. Salt can only be experienced and never consumed unless a person drinks salty tears from an image bearer or, in rare cases, from a salted one. Salt is experienced through Encounters. Encounter of the Eternal Thou as manifested through the Salted Ones and Image Bearers through subject-to-subject Dialogue. 'Agape' is transferred/exchanged during every Encounter. Each Encounter doesn't vanquish 'Sin'...it chisels it into the contours of a face, which form unique 'features'--beauty inside the person, hidden from others but visible by E.T. No two internal 'faces' will ever be the same. Each one is unique.

Hell will be known as The Abyss, which will exist on the outer perimeters of Westica. Think of three concentric circles:

  1. The innermost circle, the center, is The Citadel (think of it as the rising tide of Christian Nationalism, or "Empire")

  2. The next circle is The Saeculum (Secularism resisting the expansion of The Citadel)

  3. The final circle enveloping the first two is The Abyss (emptiness or "Void")

Is this just a critique of right-wing politics in America driven by a cynicism of evangelical Christianity and/or Nationalism? No, I haven’t mapped out the progressive critique yet. Reading what I have so far, I realize it may seem this way. I just haven't had a chance to explore The Saeculum more. The same castes within the Citadel will also exist outside it--in the Saeculum. There will be Dehumanizors and The Disgustipators along with The Salted Ones and The Image Bearers. This is NOT intended to be another rehashed "make fun of Trump and his followers" which serves no benefit to anybody and is just ‘more of the same‘

Core Concepts in the World of Westica

Westica

Westica is the imaginary world that describes what the protagonist sees happening throughout American life today. It is a 'meta-view' of America and the invisible forces heavily influencing us to relate to one another only through Tribalism. Westica gets its name by combining the 'Western Hemisphere,' i.e., the West, with America; hence, the world we call 'West'-'ica'.

The Other Realm

The 'other realm' is our current reality in the Western world (i.e. Earth), dominated by individualism, capitalism, tribalism, toxic politics, toxic Christianity etc. It operates in an era of 'post-Post-modern' (whatever the hell that means). The 'other realm' can send one-way transmissions that are 'correspondence clues' mapping the characters or 'things' in Westica to our current world of today. These are conveyed via 'analog' only (i.e., get it? analogous); however, strange properties exist when a transmission occurs, including sight, sound, and smell. Here is an example of how an 'other realm' transmission might work.

Example 1 - Elon Musk

  • To 'name' the objects of Westica, the main protagonist O'Looney, along with the Image Bearers (both of which can see more clearly, i.e. less distorted), might observe an inhabitant that sits atop a MASSIVE pile of Bliss (money is called 'bliss' in Westica). This pile is so high that the individual at the top is all alone, far into the skies. As O'Looney observes this for the first time with his eyes, he receives an 'other realms' transmission: an image of an Oak Tree (via hologram or delusion) appears followed by an image of a Deer. After seeing these images, a strong fragrant smell of Musk sensation runs through him. Every allegorical entity corresponding to our current world of today comes through either transmissions, symbols, music, art, technology, etc.

  • In this instance, Elon Musk is introduced to the world of Westica. O'Looney doesn't know who Elon Musk is, but he can make observations. For example, he might say, "Wow, that must be the loneliest person alive...imagine sitting at the top of that pile of bliss all alone for so long--with no way down. No wonder he looks at the stars 24-7" (space-x / mars reference)

  • The author will never say the name 'Elon Musk' to the reader; only the initials are provided. For this transmission, an Oak Tree hologram appears, followed by a Deer and the strong scent of Musk.

    • Elon = Hebrew word for Oak Tree (Wikipedia here)

    • Deer is the animal, specifically a Musk Deer, used to make the perfume we call Musk.

    • O'Looney communicates the transmission using the initials: 'E.M.' throughout the story.

    • Other citizens have their vision obscured through their Tribal Affiliation...and 'see' E.M. according to their distorted view. A person who is part of The Dehumanizors would actually 'see'--through their vision--a Muskrat sitting at the top of the pile of bliss. The Dehumanizors call E.M. "The Excremental Muskrat" instead. The Disgustipators (one level above the Dehumanizors) interpret E.M. based on gender, i.e. women might say "The Egotistical Manspailner" whereas a male Disgustipator might say "The Excessive Man"

    • Each interpretation of E.M. is what they actually see in Westica

  • Other correspondence clues are done outside of transmission (which are only used to introduce humans from Earth that most people know, politicians, musicians, etc.)

  • e.g. consider a TV that is playing Fox News 24x7, it would be described as a "Large TV with a Fox figurine just below it," or The Daily Beast would be depicted by seven beasts--say a crocodile--with the first beast having M stamped on it and the last beast having an S stamped on it--The 'Daily' Beast--M meaning Monday, S Sunday

Example 2 - James Baldwin

  • Some dialog / Encounter can occur in The Citadel with a person/thing.

  • An "other realms" transmission can occur of an image of "one who takes by the heel", see link here, forming the initial J of the biblical Jacob, another image is of a person aiming a bow and arrow - J-aims, James

  • The surname might be that he is Bald or citizens might refer to him as The Bald One

  • A dialogue / Encounter ensues between O'Looney and J.B. and the topic of how to "win the war" might come up...O'Looney makes a phrase J.B. for the Win!!!, James-Bald-Win.

Sequel Clue

Sometimes, 'other realm' transmissions don't come from Earth...but Eastica instead! This introduces deception that is used to keep Westica at war with itself (think Russian interference in 2016 election)....this tactic introduces a possible sequel where, after Westica gets restored/healed by discovering Relational Truth (i.e. Restorative Love, The Wounded Healer), they have a new 'threat' they have to figure out how to be in relationship with: Eastica. These transmissions come through the Technology Rampart (more on Ramparts below) of the Citadel via what Westica calls 'Social Media.'

The Mystery Guide

Raspicho - a

The Citadel

The Citadel is a major part of the dualistic world of Westica. It is the embodiment of the 'right' in America's culture wars. All media, teachings, symbols, or major characters of the right, including toxic Christian leaders reside within the Citadel including:

  1. Toxic Christianity - Evangelists (think televangelists/mega pastors such as Jerry Falwell Jr, Jimmy Swaggart, Benny Hinn, Kenneth Copeland, Mark Driscoll, etc.),

  2. Politicians (Trump, Marjorie Taylor Greene, Matt Gaetz, Romney (a Salted One), etc.)

  3. Journalists (Tucker Carlson, Candice Owens, Ben Shapiro, Meg Bashem, etc.)

  4. Conspiracy Theorists (Alex Jones, Michael Flynn, Mike Lindell)

  5. Prominent Christian Nationalists (Ben Zleisoft, Eric Conn, Pearl Davis, Laura Ingram, Doug Wilson and Moscow, Idaho etc.)

Each citizen that resides in the Citadel is participating in a great battle to defend themselves against The Mind Virus--IT-ness --not wokeness. There is no Gate available to enter or leave the Citadel. All Westicans residing inside the Citadel politically identify as Reformists (R corresponding to Republican). All inhabitants of Westica who exist outside the Citadel are called The Others and live in The Saeculum. From the Reformist's point of view, the Deformists are their opposition party (D means Democratic).

Citizens of The Citadel also refer to it as The Living Body, and it is protected by a massive and complex defensive apparatus. Inhabitants of the Citadel consider all outsiders 'The Others' and live within the vast realm called The Saeculum (it isn't a building, it is everything external to the Citadel). Those who reside outside its walls are on one of two missions: 1) Destroy the Citadel and free/exterminate those trapped within or 2) limit the expansion of the Citadel as much as possible--contain it / quarantine it. All planetary beings are either in The Citadel, defending it, or outside the Citadel, assaulting it / containing it. The Dehumanizors / The Disgustipators exist both in the Saeculum and the Citadel.

  1. Sharp, pointed spears cover The Wall forming an outer layer that surrounds the Citadel with signs emblazoned in a perpetual fire that read "STAY OUT"

  2. No Gate to the Citadel exists. The only way in or out is through the ethereal Maze of Meta-Cognition, a complex web of interconnected tunnels deep below the Citadel. O'Looney, through his 'supposed' discoveries, only partially understands this interior world. He is convinced a benevolent Smuggling operation is working behind the scenes and controlled by somebody or something.

  3. The entrance to the Maze of Meta-Cognition is in a dirty, filthy slum within the Citadel. Warning signs are littered all over and block the entrance: WARNING (De) CONSTRUCTION ZONE BEYOND. ONLY APOSTATES CAN ENTER! ONE-WAY TICKET OUT, YOU WILL PERISH FOR ETERNITY!!! REPENT BY TURNING AROUND NOW!

  4. 6 Ramparts make up the inner perimeter of the Citadel...

    1. The Academics Rampart

    2. The Media Rampart

    3. The Religion Rampart

    4. The Government Rampart - The Deformists vs The Reformists

    5. The Medical Rampart

    6. The Globalization Rampart

The Sanctuary of the Citadel

  • The Word will be placed in the underground Sanctum of the Citadel...a holy room with sacredness. It will have much Splendor. The Logos will be a large book opened at the center for all those in the Citadel to read. This will feed the Saltiness of those who partake.

  • To the right and the left of the room known as The Word, there will be two other rooms...citizens of the Citadel descend stairs and are confronted with three rooms to choose from.

  • The Word will be the center room

  • The right room will be filled with cacaphony. It will have a Book of the Mind Virus and will 'feed' people 'Sin' by laying out all of the terminology and 'othering' used to fight wokeism in society today.

  • The walls of the right room will be TV screens playing news 24x7...Fox news, Daystar, Newsmax, The Daily Beast on audible, Mike Lindell commercials, etc. Citizens that stand directly in front of a TV can 'hear' that TV only instead of cacophony..

  • The left room will contain a mysterious book called the Q Anon...it will contain epistles, letters, gospels...art will be on the wall The Cabal, etc.

  • Folks that go into the right or left room will 'feed themselves' and 'feast' on their version of truth

  • Only the center room will provide Saltiness and Encounter

The Grand Inquisitor

To be written. Sketch below...

  1. Emits Inquisitrons into a space-time field called Mystery.

  2. Inquisitrons produce biochemical brain machinations that get embedded into the mind

  3. Traversal into Consciousness is through three stages

    1. Stage 1 - The Unconcious (inaccessible)

    2. Stage 2 - The Subconcious (able to be interrogated through meta-cognition)

    3. Stage 3 - The Consciousness (self-interrogating questions or observations of experience)

    4. The ego usurps and blocks this process...think cholesterol in the heart

    5. An inquisitron traversing into the Unconcious may take many years to seep into the Subconscious

  4. The Grand Inquisitor isn't about "the Inquisition" but rather about facilitating the biochemical machinations in the brain that lead to inwardness or discernment/recognition of the Thou

  5. The Grand Inquisitor represents Spirit, think of it as a Manifest of the Spirit. It walks without limbs...it walks through the souls of people who descend into the Maze of Meta-Cognition…

  6. The Breath of God occurs through the reverberations of air through Music. E.T., and The Grand Inquisitor together collectively Breathe, the exhaling--or so O'Looney believes--occurs through music. Taylor Swift, TOOL, VB, and possibly more will be captured somehow in the novel.

  7. O’Looney will discover he is completely wrong about what the Grand Inquisitor is and how it operates…it will invoke humiliation and shame in him that he must contend with. Can he find Hope somehow?

The Maze of Meta-Cognition

To be written

  1. Inquisitrons flow like a river in this particular place.

  2. Scratch Pad - Encounters with Dostoevsky, Jung, and David Foster Wallace, also a Buddha

  3. The Tibetan Monk will be isolated and enslaved in a room hidden in The Citadel

    1. O'Looney will have an encounter with the T.M. (referred to as The Total Moron by the Westicans residing in The Citadel). Think of Total in an unbounded form as Totality or a proxy for Infinity. Think of Moron in an unbounded form as converging to Zero or The Void (of the mind). This holds the clue of escaping or liberating oneself of Duality, expressed by O'Looney as 0=∞ It is paradox, not a contradiction. Nothing is stillness will be a clue

    2. God is in the relationship between Zero and Infinity. Only God can hold and sustain the ULTIMATE Opposition in equilibrium or harmony (relationally). The key is to focus on the = symbol (according to O'Looney)

The Angels - Individuated True Selves

Members are of the 'Image Bearer' Tribe

  • Each True Self is still susceptible to the Mind Virus, through hamartia. The Grand Inquisitor strategically smuggles Image Bearers inside and outside the Citadel without violating their Free Will--a trait only they possess (i.e. advanced symptoms of IT-ness leads to sleepwalking) Each True Self wields a superpower to confront the Mind Virus from within or outside the Citadel. They also feed the thirsty souls of The Salted Ones to mitigate depletion or increase their Saltiness, however that is E.T.s main function. Miss-use of the superpower can and does occur.

Known Members throughout Westica's era of The Great Culture War

  • A girl named Billie, whom the citizens within The Citadel name 'The Queer Bee' or 'The Queer Hillbilly,' depending on the vision distortions applied by Tribal Affiliation of those who look at her.

    • Superpower

      • When templatized by a Disgustipator, she is seen as an insect known only as 'The Queer Bee.' In this templatized form, she has a stinger that can inject sweet honey into those of The Disgustipated Tribe, which removes the nausea of disgust permanently upon injection. It makes Metanoia possible through a process known as eucontainment. Westicans that resist the eucontainment transition to The Dehumanizor Tribe, while those who fully process the eucontainment transition to the The Salty Tribe.

      • When templatized by a Dehumanizor, she is seen only as a statue made from pure inert object material called Sin. The only functional form of Life available when she is viewed in this form by a Dehumanizor are her eyes, which can move to stare at somebody. After 5 seconds of total uninterrupted staring—eye to eye, complete resonance—she will emit Sacred Tears that can be consumed to start the euconainment process. In (extremely) rare cases, the swallowed tear can lead to Metanoia, making the transition from The Dehumanizor to The Salty Tribe possible. Dissonance can occur if either party breaks the stare leading to hamartia and violating the 5 second requirement for subject-to-subject Encounter.

  • Charrisa, known only as Grace. Inside protective invisible, invincible glass. She writes Poems each day that pierce the eyes of the Disgustipators / Dehumanizors. The Salted Ones go to her for soul nourishment (energy). Impenetrable boundaries protect her--invisible glass

  • The Blind Guide, a Wesleyan, delivers alms to the poor, requires beggars to stoop (humble themselves), embeds meta-cognitive questions in the Alms he gives away

  • Transvangelical - The Trans One, attended Clobber College, female version of Keanu Reeves from The Matrix, can dodge all forms of ammunition and is immune/invincible to Clobber Rounds (ammunition) fired by Theobros

  • John - TBD

  • Dan Hawk - known only as ‘The Hawk’ flies over the battlefield inside (The Citadel) and outside (The Saeculum); one flap of his wings sends a gust of wind that brings clarity/life to the individuals below him. Archers try to take him down but miss…

  • Virgin Black—Location - At the very bottom of the massive Greek amphitheater, which descends a hundred miles down within The Saeculum realm (i.e., outside The Citadel), each step downwards the light dims until total darkness is reached a hundred miles down at the bottom. It is total blackness. Those who have the courage to step through it will finally enter a majestic Dome of Luminosity/Splendor. Various metal bands that play darker and more depressive music are experienced the further down you go. At the very top, in the first row, Taylor Swift is playing. Concentric circles get smaller and smaller the closer you get to the center—the white dome....there at the bottom will be VB playing live for everybody in the ampitheater to hear. They can't be seen since the darkness hides them--only those who have traversed to the bottom, through the thick darkness--but the reverberations of the air convey their music to the audience (millions) in the amphitheater. Emily Bronte reference (yet to be determined)

  • James Maynard Keenan (lead singer of the band Tool) holds the key to finding the antidote's first component, Fear Inoculum. Stage 1 involves inoculating fear and spreading it via mitosis. He plans to release it throughout Westica using music. Read the lyrics of their song Fear Inoculum and Pneuma....Thelema maybe from The Grand Inquisitor, needs more research.

The Seekers - Individuation can be hijacked by False Selves occasionally, members of The Salted Ones tribe

  • Professor Paul is an Other who has considerable insight into the ruling epistemologies within and outside the Citadel. He is a strategic target within The Saeculum that must be neutralized if the Citadel wants any chance of Reformation for Westica.

  • Craig Gibson, to be determined...Earnest seeker with a big heart. Has spent time in the Barracks of the Citadel

  • O'Looney is a madman trapped in the Citadel dungeon because he thinks he has a theory about what is behind the Mazes of Meta-Cognition. His penchant for pattern-seeking has led him to believe something or someone is conducting a mysterious smuggling operation. He has no idea how to communicate with others and often relies on special codes: symbols, math, music, animals, philosophy, and science to convey what he thinks is really going on in Westica. People will call him The Idiot, but strangely, he sees that as a compliment. He finally will change his ragged shirt to a new one with the initials P.M. (Prince Myshkin), but that causes others to name him "Pathetically Moronic" or something like that (need to find better words). O'Looney will ultimately realize he is wrong about the Grand Inquisitor and how it operates...how will he respond? What has to transpire for him to come to this realization? How does he handle the humiliation and shame?

  • Nicholas Ball also known as Saint Nick. He was smuggled out of the Citadel and now operates subconsciously as a Salted One

  • Salted Ones are permitted by the Dehumanizors to exist within and outside the Citadel. They see the Salted Ones as non-threatening assets whose saltiness can assist in Mission Fulfillment, which is to destroy every stone Westican associated with The Others. or outside the Citadel since the Dehumanizors believe their Salt can help destroy the Statues they are commissioned to eradicate, aka "The Geological Genocide" in the multi-verse that makes up Westica

The Villians - The False Selves

False Selves aka The Dehumanizors

  • Bashem - (journalist, reports on events going on in the battle field, filters the news back to the inhabitants of the Citadel)

  • The Donald - The Shameless One, his chamber is high in the sky at the center of the Citadel, in a room called The Marring, sits on a huge throne called The Lagos (Mar-A-Lagos) / antonym of Logos. Wears a black cloth over his eyes with the word SHAMELESS. He turns anybody who betrays him into stone (permanently objectified) by lifting his veil. Leads the Internalized Shaming Immunization Operation within the Citadel, teaching people how to 'see' the world through the eyes of exploitation. His power is found in the fact that his followers are sick and tired of being made to feel 'less than' by The Others that reside in The Saeculum outside the Citadel. Will have an encounter with E.T. Will tempt E.T. Three times. Shameless One: YOU are the Emigrated Taint upon this land…neuralink device implanted on top of E.T.s head with ‘thorny’ needles are his crown of thorns

  • Erik Conn - The Conn Man TBD

  • Pearl Davis - The female companion, wedded to The Conn Man (wedding ceremony takes place)

  • Ben Zleisoft - A Dehumanizor that only sees statues for those alive, considers assassinating The Shameless One

  • Theobros - Group of Crusaders, tattooed with a Sword (left arm), a Shield (right arm), and a Cross (chest). Fire ammunition from the Ramparts of the Citadel into the masses.

  • Marjorie Taylor Green

  • Mike Bickel - Roams the Citadel to Devour any Plebs, eats the Stone replica, prophecies of The Grand Destroyer (works against the Inquisitor)

The Disgustipators inside The Citadel

  • Mark Driscoll

  • Jerry Falwell Jr.

  • Televangelists: Benny Hinn, Rodney Howard Browne, Living Skeletons in the Graveyard, they still receive alms (a form of currency) from the downtrodden and those with poverty of soul/spirit

Icarus is important because of what he represents: excessive pride, daring ambition, and foolishness. Icarus is not a hero, and Icarian feats are points of shame. He does not seize the day, but the day seizes him. The importance of Icarus – and his doomed flight – can best be emphasized through an ancient Greek lens.

“But notice that I speak of giving and receiving love—not receiving and then giving. Love has not only become a commodity of transaction, but it has also become something we have come to believe we must store up and pass on only after our own supplies are at a high enough level to warrant the risk of depletion. We think that the love we have to give to others is the excess of what we have received and hoarded. But this misses the whole point of love.”

“Less-Traveled Paths to Be Trusted” Pg 115

“But this is a dangerous concept, because the only way to win a debate is to avoid changing one’s own mind. Only the “loser” of a debate learns anything new, and no one wants to be a loser. The more civil approach, he said, is to avoid asking ourselves which one of us is right, and instead ask ourselves why we see things differently. This creates a collaboration, both sides working together to figure out where their differences come from. Transparency leads to trust, he said, and trust assures us that we are being heard, that our agency is not at risk, and that it is ok to show vulnerability. Once that kind of trust is established, or reestablished, disagreements become far more effective at opening both sides to considering challenging ideas.”

— How Minds Change: The Surprising Science of Belief, Opinion, and Persuasion by David McRaney

“Whereas Yahweh had made a garden for humanity’s dwelling place, human beings now aspire to make a city for themselves, and a big one at that: “a city and a tower with its top in the sky” (v. 4). While this phrase may be idiomatic for a large city, the context suggests something more than a building project. Humanity wishes to extend its dwelling place vertically as well as horizontally. The plain on which they plan to build the city provides a level space with plenty of room to spread out, but unified humanity wants to claim the sky as well.”
